Located in the heart of Beijing's Chaoyang District, NUO Hotel is renowned for its "Modern Ming" design philosophy, drawing inspiration from the literati lifestyle of the Ming Dynasty. It reinterprets traditional elements such as calligraphy, painting, and blue-and-white porcelain through an abstract and minimalist contemporary lens. The hotel spaces emphasize the Eastern philosophy of "Harmony between Heaven and Man," cultivating an atmosphere of serene cultural depth.
Diamond Life Group embraced the design concept of "Light as Ink, Shadow as Brushstroke," crafting a series of lighting solutions for the hotel lobby, guest room corridors, and Zen-inspired tea lounge. The lighting design utilizes low-color-temperature light sources and indirect illumination techniques, focusing on highlighting the spatial aesthetics of negative space and material textures. Light and shadow diffuse naturally like ink on rice paper, extending the tranquil beauty of Eastern heritage into the modern environment.
