Case Introduction

Situated on the ancient Diaoyutai site in western Beijing, as China's highest-level foreign affairs reception venue, its design distills the essence of classical Chinese garden art and imperial architectural principles. It blends the "scenery changing with every step" characteristic of Suzhou gardens with the solemn layout of northern palace architecture, with every detail embodying profound Eastern ceremonial culture.

Diamond Life Group adhered to the design principle of "Light Within Bounds, Shadows Revealing Grand Elegance" to provide a customized lighting system for the State Guest Building, reception halls, and garden corridors. The lighting design strictly follows heritage conservation guidelines, utilizing low-intensity, high-color-rendering light sources to precisely outline the contours of architectural features like flying eaves and bracket sets. Wall-washing techniques are used to highlight the majestic aura of red walls and golden tiles, expressing the poised dignity of a nation's ceremonial spirit through restrained light and shadow.
